Description of Accident

On the 26th August 1985 I was racing a KTM 600 motorcycle in
the inaugural Wynn’s Safari (now Australian Safari) from Sydney
to Darwin. My accident occurred just after leaving Birdsville
(Queensland) on a competitive section. The accident occurred
whilst overtaking a car in the dust

To get me to Princess Alexandria Hospital in Brisbane via Longreach
Hospital it took one helicopter flight, 7 ambulance changes and 2
plane flights. After 4 months on the other side of the country from
home I returned home to be put in quarantine for a month
(Golden Staph in Qld Hospitals at time) then my first hospital outing
was on 14th Feb (Valentines Day) 1986

Caterpillar dealer in Western Australia in 1979 and had worked in
